From an early morning dance party on a boat to musical bingo (and free oysters), Olympics viewing parties at an Allston pop-up brewery to a freestyle cuddling conference (really), here are all the reasons to leave the house this week(end) in Boston. Thursday Animal Kingdom Boat Party – 5:45 a.m. (yes, a.m.) – Rowes Wharf – Daybreaker Boston has teamed up with Reebok to offer a special morning boat cruise to push their mantra, "Wake up. Do yoga. Dance your face off. Crush your day." Boat leaves at 6:30 a.m. sharp and will have you back on dry land by 8:30. Animal onesies are encouraged. Tix start at $25. Charlestown Week – Aug. 18 to 24 – Various locations – Curious how Old Ironsides is coming along with her renovations? Itching for a historic weapons demonstration? Just want to see some 1812 marines in action? You're welcome. Friday Warrior Weekend – All weekend – Various locations – Three workouts: stand-up paddle boarding, spinning and a bootcamp, in three locations across three days. It's topped off with a Sunday brunch at Charlestown's Blackmoor Bar + Kitchen. Tix: $35. Consent Workshop & Freestyle Cuddling – 8 to 11:15 p.m. – OpenYourselfTo.Love (Somerville) – "Cuddle party features a safe supportive space to explore a wide range of nurturing touch and connection experiences," including "a couple hours of freestyle cuddling." Do not be late. If you're late, you miss out. Seriously, the rules are strict here. Tix: $20. Musical Bingo, Free Oysters – 5 to 7 p.m. – The Palm Patio – Check out The Palm's newly renovated patio for some music bingo courtesy of DJ Good Thomas and get treated to some free oysters from the Raw Bar. Group reservations available, entry is free. Saturday #Rio2016 Viewing Party – Friday & Saturday – Aeronaut Allston – Enjoy food trucks and fresh beer from Aeronaut while you take in the Olympics on a couple massive projection screens. Also, lawn game tournaments: "So while basking in the otherworldly athletic achievements of the truly gifted, we can contemplate our own life choices over bocce, ping pong and cornhole." Admission is free. Brew at the Zoo – 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. – Franklin Park Zoo – Sample offerings from a TON of local breweries and restaurants while enjoying all that the zoo has to offer. Except Butterfly Landing. You can't go near Butterfly Landing because butterflies hate craft beer. Tix: $60. Sunday Falmouth Road Race – 9 a.m. – Falmouth, MA – Head out for the 44th running of "The little race that could," a fun run at heart that's grown to draw many elites to the field as well. New Balance is the sponsor of this event, which now brings more than 11,000 runners to the start line. Sunday Funday on the Harbor – 3 to 5 p.m. – Moakley Courthouse Dock – Hop aboard Boston's only historic tall ship, the Roseway, for an afternoon of drinks and views. Nothing wrong with that. Tix: $40. Monday Fantasy Football In Style – Mondays through Labor Day – Lincoln Tavern & Restaurant – Host your Fantasy draft party at Lincoln, where chef Nick Dixon is serving up three season-appropriate menus including fare like spicy wings, wood fire pizza and sliders. Prices begin at $20 per person. Tuesday Sweat, Refuel, Repeat – 6 to 7:30 – Thirst Juice Co. – "Join fitness professional Cassie Brown, certified holistic health coach Kerri Axelrod, andThirst Juice Co. for an evening of sweating, strengthening, sculpting and replenishing." It's Olympics season ... this is the least you can do. Tix: $20. Wednesday Yoga Happy Hour – 6 to 8 p.m. – Alibi Bar – Beacon Hill Yoga is taking its talents to the bar this evening, hosting a class on the patio followed by a refreshing booze drink for your troubles. Tix: $30, includes a drink. Thursday Local Libations – Thursdays, 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. – Boston Public Market – Hopsters is bringing its beer garden concept full circle with the installation of a year-round offering now through October. Each Thursday, either inside or out depending on the weather, head over to the BPM for local beer and wine, snacks and live music. Admission: Free.
